Description
Vintage Santa Wall Art: A Painted Portrait of Santa Looking Up
Gallery wrapped canvas, printed in a soft oil painting style and ready to hang out of the box.
He is checking the weather, the hour, or the whole enormous job ahead of him. The painting does not say which.
The Vintage Santa This Collection Is Built Around
A close portrait in a soft, aged palette: white beard worked in loose strokes, wire glasses catching the light, the red of the hat gone warm rather than bright. His eyes are lifted to something above the frame. It has the finish of a painting that has hung somewhere for fifty years, which is exactly the point.
Vintage Santa Canvas Wall Art That Anchors a Room
This is the most traditional Santa in the collection and the easiest to place. It carries a hallway, a stair wall or a mantel on its own, and it sits comfortably beside older furniture, warm paint and anything with a bit of patina.
What Arrives
✔ Gallery wrapped canvas with the artwork carried around the edges, so no frame is needed
✔ Semi gloss print for added depth and color
✔ Mounting hardware attached, so it hangs straight out of the packaging
✔ Leveling bumpers included to protect the wall
✔ Beveled stretch bars and industrial strength staples, so the frame stays tight and sits flat
Questions About This Vintage Santa Canvas
What makes this vintage rather than modern Santa art?
The handling. Tailor Made Rooms built it in a soft, aged oil palette with visible brushwork rather than the bright flat colour of modern Christmas graphics, so it reads as an old painting rather than a new print.
Is this the same Santa as the other portraits?
No. Each piece in the Tailor Made Rooms Santa collection is its own painting. This one is the upward looking portrait, painted closer and softer than the rest.
What size vintage Santa wall art should I order?
Tailor Made Rooms suggests a larger size above a mantel, console or stair run, and a smaller one for a gallery wall or a shelf lean. Aim for roughly two thirds the width of whatever sits underneath.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Mounting hardware comes attached and leveling bumpers are included to protect the wall.
